About Lawrence Paul

Lawrence started his hairdressing career at the age of 14. Being a punk rocker and a talented drummer at the time, his first job was as a Saturday boy in an Italian barbers where his image was loved by the clientele. After drumming with many successful bands in his teens, Lawrence made the decision to do drumming session work so he could concentrate more on his hairdressing and started an apprenticeship at the barbers after leaving school. He continued his apprenticeship at a unisex salon where he was first introduced to the Sassoon way of cutting before he went to London to work for the man himself, Vidal Sassoon. After working in London, the US and Europe looking after many celebrity clients and being on stage at various events, Lawence opened five salons in London and Essex in the 1990’s including his flagship salon in Kings Road, Chelsea. Lawrence sold the salons to retire to Norfolk in 2000 but soon missed the creativity of his craft so opened salons again a few years later. After opening three salons in Norwich, Diss and Bury St Edmunds, Lawrence Paul has now downsized and concentrates solely on providing the highest quality hair and beauty services to their Bury St Edmunds clients.

Lawrence works 2-3 days a week and has limited availability for new clients. He continues to play his drums and also enjoys driving and tinkering with his many cars!!
